Awww this story is just sunshine, lollipops and rainbows and more. Just, awww Natasha I’m so happy you got to meet all of them! :DLast night was definitely the greatest night of my life, and I’m still reeling from the shock of everything that happened.
When I first got there with Kelli and Karyn, I met up with Annie, Jen, Kaitlin, and Ashley by the group of people that were waiting by the buses for the Warblers. It was awesome to be able to meet all of them. They also gave me my surprise from the Charlene Kaye concert, which was a photo of Charlene signed and personalized by Charlene herself, it was fantastic :)
Riker and Curt came out then for pictures and signatures, and I really have to applaud those guys for doing that at every concert. There wasn’t even a gate at the Palace, so they were practically swarmed by people. I didn’t want to swarm them, so I waited until the crowd thinned out and got a picture with Riker.
Afterwards we went in, and after some trouble with our tickets, eventually got them and our guest passes and got to our seats.
The entire concert was AMAZING. The LXD was phenomonal. And during the first three songs by the cast, I couldn’t stop staring at Chris and how completely flawless he is. The Warblers were great, and Darren screamed out “Go Blue!” during Silly Love Songs, and yelled something to Dylan Saunders (who was at the concert) and pointed to him in the audience after Raise Your Glass. It was too bad Dianna couldn’t be there, but I still had a fantastic time.
After the concert, the people with guest passes were grouped together and told to wait. We were then escorted into a back room and told to wait for the members of the cast that would be coming back. While we were waiting, we went up to Dylan and talked to him and got pictures with him. He was SUPER nice and it was awesome to get to chat with him while he waited for Darren.
Then the cast started to come in. Riker and Jon were first. They came in and talked to people that came specifically to see them, and then Jon went over and talked to Dylan. It almost made me start crying to see them hugging and interacting. I just love how the Warblers and Starkids have become such great friends.
Then Ashley came in. She was great and super willing to hug all of this adorable group of little girls and sign their shirts and take pictures with them. After the group of girls, we got to talk with her. She’s SUCH a fun kickass person and I still can’t believe I got to meet her.
And THEN Darren came in.
Now for obvious reasons I was most nervous and excited about meeting Darren, but there was one very specific reason I was. This starts with the fact that I’m friends with a cameraperson at Glee. Well, she had told Darren about me, and one time while I was in the hospital getting chemotherapy, I received a video from her in my email. It was a video of Darren wishing me well and saying he was thinking of me. I still to this day can’t believe that he sent me that video, and I was so grateful to finally be able to thank him in person for it.
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I met him, I didn’t know if he would realize who I was or what. But what happened, I NEVER. EVER would have expected.
It was our turn to meet him, and I went up to him and introduced myself. He said hi, and I mentioned said cameraperson’s name. Then, all of a sudden, his eyes got HUGE, and he screamed “OH MY GOD!” and he tackle hugged me. He finally stopped hugging me and just started talking about how happy he was to see me there and finally meet me, and then he just yelled out and tackled me AGAIN. My wonderful amazing friend Karyn got a picture of it.
It’s a bit blurry because he kept rocking back and forth.
I’m still in so much shock as I’m typing this. It honestly took a lot for me to not just start crying on his shoulder out of surprise and happiness. I had no clue he would be so happy to see me. It just blew my mind.
He talked to us for quite a while and I got to thank him in person for that wonderful video. He signed lots of things for us and took pictures with us, and even talked on the phone to a couple of Karyn’s friends. It still blows my mind how much he loves his fans. He finally finished talking to us and went over to spend time with Dylan and his friends.
I can practically breathe now as I finish typing and reliving this night. I’m still convinced I’ll wake up and it will have been a dream. I will forever be grateful that I was able to experience something this phenomonal.
Psh don’t lie Karyn I know you search my blog for it every time ;P
same *sigh* only, I mostly just think about it… I don’t spend all the time to go back and look at Tasha’s post…
Wow. Just … wow....beautiful story.
